A Little About the Maker…

Halen Mon was founded by a couple who met and fell in love on the Island of Anglesey in North Wales. The salt was actually inspired by Sea Horses, who are notoriously fussy about the water in which they live and breed. As the local sea horses were so happy in these briny waters, they realised that the world’s finest sea salt could also be enjoyed by us land lovers! In 1997 they left a saucepan of seawater to boil on the Aga in the family kitchen, and as the salt crystals started to form, they knew they’d struck culinary gold!
