A Little About the Maker…
Rock Mill is steeped in Welsh history and tradition. Perched on the banks of theTeifi river, it is now the only remaining continuously water driven woollen mill in Wales. Rock Mill was built by the present owner’s great grandfather, John Morgan. For generations, the mill has perfected and produced Welsh blankets using passed down traditional methods and skills. It is little changed since the Nineteenth century; using a variety of spinning wheels known as Great wheels which are powered by the Mill’s 12 feet water wheel. The wheel will keep on turning, I’m sure, continuing to produce gorgeous blankets for generations to come.
